Elana Rubinstein

Hi, I’m Elana Rubinstein, author of The Big Hatch and the Saralee Siegel chapter book series!

Here is some info about me and my work: 

The Big Hatch is a fun, heartfelt middle-grade novel about dinosaurs, pink sparkles, and friendship! It hits the shelves August 2026. 

​

The first book in the Saralee Siegel series, Once Upon an Apple Cake, was a National Jewish Book Award finalist. The series continues with Starlight Soup, A Donut in Time, The Royal Recipe, The Secret of the Scent Map, and A Whiff of Magic (coming April 2026). Several books in the series have been chosen as PJ Library selections.

I live in Northern Virginia with my family, where I spend my days chasing a curious toddler around the house and dreaming up magical tales after bedtime.
